The 11th of December this year marks the day that Solzhenitsyn would have turned 100 years old. We are proud to present the documentary film, Solzhenitsyn the Last Frontier (2003). In the film by Sergei Miroshnichenko, the classic of Russian and world literature, Alexander Isaevich Solzhenitsyn reflects on his human and literary fate: "... well, a lot has already happened in my life. Maybe I am on the last bend, and the river of life does not promise me any more ... But the heart does not submit to the last. " The great writer is shown as a husband and a father – the head of a large and friendly family. The shooting took place in North Carolina (USA) at the concert of his son Ignat, in New York, and where the youngest son, Stepan works, in Vermont – the place of exile of the Solzhenitsyn family. The film gives a unique inside view and an exclusive interview, which Alexander Isayevich gave on the eve of his 85th birthday.
