Turkish General Arif Cetin Visits Moscow! Military Alliance With Russia On the Table Now?
The National Guard welcomes a Turkish general as their guest. The leader of the republic’s Gendarmerie has arrived in Moscow for an official visit. Arif Çetin shared the best practices with the director of the National Guard, Viktor Zolotov, and paid a visit to the Dzerzhinsky Division.

The central headquarter of the National Guard hosted the negotiations with the guests. This is an important historical event, as Turkey has become the first NATO country to start cooperating with our National Guard. The General Commander of the Turkish Gendarmerie, Arif Çetin, was welcomed by the director of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, Viktor Zolotov. The military orchestra played the hymns of both countries. The guard of honor greeted the Turkish delegation with a ceremonial march. Such honors are rendered only on special occasions. First, the guests were shown the Museum of the National Guard. Then, the negotiations started.
Viktor Zolotov, Director of the National Guard: "We're happy to welcome you to Russia. I'd like to mention that, two months ago, our delegation went to the Turkish Republic. But, up to this day, we fondly remember the atmosphere of kindness, warmth, and friendliness that surrounded us there."
The Russian delegation visited Istanbul in May. During that visit, Viktor Zolotov was shown the Academy of the Gendarmerie and the Coast Guard of Turkey, as well as the Special Operations Forces Brigade. Russian officers were interested in their Turkish colleagues' best practices in the fight against terrorism and extremism. At today's meeting, the director of the National Guard, Viktor Zolotov, told his Turkish colleagues about his agency's current goals. According to him, now, the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, along with the emergency services, are liquidating the consequences of the flood in Irkutsk Oblast.
Arif Çetin, General Commander of the Turkish Gendarmerie: "General, I'd like to extend my most sincere words of gratitude for your warm attention to us, your warm hospitality since the moment we crossed the border of the Russian Federation."
Viktor Zolotov invited his Turkish colleagues to visit the Separate Operational Purpose Division, named after Felix Dzerzhinsky. There, the foreign guests laid flowers at the monument of the fallen soldiers. After this, the Turkish gendarmes were shown the division's combat equipment and weaponry. The guests were very interested in Russian pistols and machine guns.

The visit by the Turkish Gendarmerie will end on July 25th. Until then, the guests will be examining various divisions of the National Guard.
Let me remind you that Turkey has become the first NATO country to start cooperating with the National Guard Forces Command of the Russian Federation. Earlier, our National Guard officers visited China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Belarus.
