Ukrainian Artillery Breaks Cease-fire With Shelling of Civilian Neighborhood in Donetsk

Donetsk is under fire again. The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired more than 2000 rounds from howitzers, mortars, and rocket-launchers at the city aiming directly for residential areas. Nine-year-old Zhenya received multiple shrapnel wounds at the playground where he was playing with his friends. A strike by the Ukrainian artillery left one round unexploded. The boys accidentally threw a rock at it. One was killed by the explosion, the other two required surgery.

The Ukrainian artillery aimed directly at the residential areas. Street lighting, water supply, and heating systems are damaged. Repair teams are still trying to restore the service lines. According to the latest date, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired 90 120-mm 82-mm missiles, 29 rocket-propelled grenades, as well as 2 tank rounds.
