British Army Chief Is Scared - Believes Russia is Capable of Winning War Against West

- British Army chief sir Nick Carter is convinced that Russia can now unleash a war against the West "sooner than they expect". The logical question 'When do you expect it?' hangs in the monarchical air of the Royal United Services Institute for Defense and Security Studies, Besides, Carter gives indisputable evidence of Russian aggression and menace. It's a Russian video published on YouTube 5 years ago.

Nick Carter, head of the Army: "A vivid indication of the scale of their modernization is clear from the video clip I am now going to show you. You will see all new stuff, and the 2017 State Armaments Plan shows that even more has followed since this".

The video clip: "Our strategic missile carriers have already resumed permanent alert in the air. Our submarines have been secretly located just steps from the USA for months. Our ground troops have been constantly working out various scenarios for all conflicts and putting the acquired skills into practice. The Army of Russia — We are back!"

Nick Carter, head of the Army: "I am not in any way going to suggest that Russia wants to go to war in the traditional definition of the term, but there are factors that bear on the question of intent and one needs to understand Russian psyche, their culture and their philosophy of pre-emption".

- You've quoted a British general. Do you think why he spoke about the Russian menace? His conclusion was quite logical. Given the modernization and defense expenses in Russia, Britain's military budget is to be increased. Again, it's all about money.

- Queen, give us money.

- At the same time, the military budget of NATO member states is 20 times as big as that of Russia. But it still too little for them. They want more because Russia is reviving.

- In 2018, it's planned to be 15 times smaller than the Pentagon's.

Gordey Belov, Ukraine: One more question. Gordei Belov, civic leader (Ukraine): "Ukraine turns out an aggressor. You've said that, proceeding from its doctrine, Russia can't be an aggressor or attack anybody…

- We do have a defensive military doctrine, that's true.

Gordey Belov, Ukraine: I have a question. What do you think that the mothers and wives of mercenaries, or volunteers, as you call them, who went to Donbas, yielded to agitation, to return home in coffins, what do their families think after they've listened to you? What do you think?

Franz Klinzewitsch: It's all lies. What coffins are you talking about?

- Ukraine sees a tragedy, bloodshed…

- Where are these volunteers in coffins?

Franz Klinzewitsch, deputy head of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security: Most of the volunteers who left Russia for Donbas have their dearest and nearest living there and in Lugansk. And the absolute majority went there…

Gordey Belov: Last time a Russian citizen from Sochi was invited who said he was a volunteer…

- Gordei, you asked a question, let me answer it. They went there to protect their mothers. They went to protect their fathers, their land which brought them up, where they visited their Grannies' graves. They went there, and I along with the whole of Russia will always be with them because we understand them.

- Are there no soldiers in other regions?

- Are there no volunteers in other regions?

- Don't you have volunteers there?

Gordey Belov: We have soldiers there, the Army.

- Are there no Georgians, no Latvians?

- Are there no foreigners? You still revere for the Americans who died there!

Gordey Belov: You're mixing up the notions of volunteer and mercenary. A volunteer is someone who joined the Ukrainian Army. Those who come to kill for money is a mercenary.

- What about those who come to us, to Donbas, to explode our cities, who are they for us? Who are you for us? Who are you for us, residents of Donetsk, who every day shell my Donetsk? Did you think about it?

- How many soldiers die? Let's reunite Ukraine, and it will stop.

- Do you know how many civilians died in Donetsk? Who are you for us? Murderers!

- Well, it's…

Franz Klinzewitsch: Volodya... Wait, it's not the point. Listen, adults have a choice. Unfortunately, they can choose. They make their choice. I remember how it began. 60 Minutes studio just started worked then. I remember me saying: "My friends, were my native Belarus suffer the same as Donetsk and Lugansk, my son, a special task force officer, and I would be there, near the graves of my parents, my ancestors. We'd protect our country irrespective of someone else's opinion.” It's for the record. But there is the other side of the story. Today 5 battalions are being prepared on the basis of airborne forces, trained by foreign experts, almost nationalists, trained on the basis of Ukraine's airborne forces. They are ready, waiting to get the nod. They are ready for decisive actions in Donbas. I want you, Gordei, to understand that in this situation when Russia is uninvolved in your conflict, don't make Russia take decisive measures when the purge starts. It will be a problem then. For now it's your problem. And we want the fraternal Ukrainian people live in peace with their brother, as you were right to say. Now the division is created by your leadership.
