As we know, the leaders of the USA and North Korea started measuring each other's nuclear buttons as they wrote statements about their apparent sizes. However, now the first wary steps towards a detente have been taken. Here's the President's comment on it.

 

President Putin: "Mr. Kim Jong Un, undoubtedly, won the hand. He has accomplished his strategic objective. He has nuclear weapons. Now he has missiles with a range of up to 13,000 km, which can reach almost any place in the world, or, any place on its potential enemy's territory. Of course, now he has expressed an interest in calming and de-escalating the situation. He's an absolutely shrewd and seasoned politician.

But he should be realistic. Given the current situation, realistically speaking, he needs to tread lightly".
