Artur Mustaev will tell us about the most impressive achievements of the young technologists.

Stavropol Territory, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, the Chechen Republic, almost the entire North Caucasus Federal District. It's the first time that Grozny hosts the robotics tournament in such a format.

Olga Kononova, Vladikavkaz: "We go to robotics competitions every year, but it's the first time we came to the Chechen Republic. Our team unites three organizations from North Ossetia".

Each robot model is unique. Some do precise tasks, others are high-speed, but the biggest hype is around the "Sumo" nomination. Young inventors go to all kinds of technical tricks to make their robots meet its criteria. The crucial one is the 1-kg weight limit. Sumo is one of the most interesting competitions, where participants from different regions engage in a kind of fighting duel.

Islam Dakaev, Ichkeria: "We brought this robot, we named it Robot Tiger, because of the strengthened gears it has right here, so it is faster speed, and it tears the opponent apart like a tiger".

The boys have invested a lot of time and effort to get ready for the tournament, so now it takes them almost no time to assemble the robots. But the effort is worth it: the winners will go to Russia's main robo-fest. The tension in the hall is increasing, the championship will soon be started, and based on its results, judges will decide who will go to the national tournament.

Abdulbek Akhiadov, children’s design club head: "This is really the foundation of our great nation, these are the people that will lead the country into the future".

Participants of WinterRoboShow, the first championship in robotics, form teams. Each one has a task. Some have to do slalom, others are to draft. The main criteria are precision and speed along the trajectory needed.

Right now experts are developing Argo, a new robotic complex by Russian designer. It will replace Western robot making partsets for pre-school and junior classes.
