Afanasii studies at the Central Music School at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, teacher – Zaure Zharova.
Laureate of the XI Moscow International Festival-Contest of Children's And Youth Creative Art Open Europe – Open Planet (2014, I prize), XI Orenburg International Competition for Young Performers named after L. & M. Rostropovich (2014, II prize), V International Violin Competition (Astana, Kazakhstan, 2014, II prize). Participated in the opening of the Festival in Memory of Leonid Kogan Kogan Gala at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory (2014). Scholar of the Yuri Rozum International Charitable Foundation.
Afanasii interests himself in history of Kievan Rus and Russian arms. Enjoys historical and fiction literature.
