CLEMENS TRAUTMANN (Germany) graduated from the Juilliard School New York. As a clarinetist he has given solo and chamber music performances across the globe, for example, at Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival and at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall in the Debut on Deutschlandradio series, and has been awarded prizes by the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the German Music Council.

In parallel, Clemens Trautmann earned his doctorate in law and was a member of the research staff at Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law. He serves as a board member of the German Foundation for Musical Life (Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben) and has co-founded a circle of young patrons at the national Academy of Arts (Akademie der Künste Berlin). He is the President of the Deutsche Grammophon GmbH since 2015.
