VADIM EILENKRIG (Russia) is a Russian trumpeter, bandleader, pedagogue and TV presenter. He is the Head of Jazz Performance and Improvisation Subdepartment of the Maimonides State Classical Academy, where he has completed the assistantship program. He also received education from Moscow State Institute of Culture, the October Revolution Music College and S.Prokofiev children's music school No 1.
His musical career features over ten years of cooperation with most famous musical bands of Russia, including Igor Butman’s Big-Band, Anatoliy Kroll’s and Oleg Lundstrem’s orchestras and almost ten years of successful solo career. Vadim Eilenkrig has four solo albums. He is the presenter of the Big Jazz show at Russia-Kultura TV Channel and a co-presenter of the 10th season of the Dances with the Stars show at Russia 1 TV Channel.
As a soloist, Vadim Eilenkrig works with the leading symphony orchestras in Russia, such as the National Philharmonic of Russia (the artistic director and principal conductor of the orchestra is Vladimir Spivakov), the Russian National Orchestra (the founder, conductor and artistic director is Mikhail Pletnev) and many others. Vadim Eilenkrig is also the bandleader of his own Eilenkrig Orchestra.
