VLADIMIR KHARIN was born in Moscow. He began his piano education at the age of 6 at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory Central Music School for highly gifted students. He graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (class of prof. Evgeny Malinin and prof. Lev Naumov). He completed postgraduate studies with honors at the Folkwang University of the Arts (Folkwang Universität der Künste) in Essen, Germany.
Vladimir Kharin is a laureate of several international competitions. He performed concerts in Europe, Japan, Indonesia and China. Since 2009 he has been leading a piano class for particularly gifted children and young people at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst). The name of Vladimir Kharin as a pedagogue is well known outside Austria. He is often invited to be a jury member at competitions and to give masterclasses in different cities of Germany, Spain, Slovakia, China, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Canada and SAR. Vladimir Kharin is the chairman of the jury of the International Feurich Competition in Vienna.
