President Putin Presses “Big Red Button∎ and Launches Nuclear Missile Defense Exercises

Russian Nuclear Retaliation Forces are reliable and invincible. The country doesn't have to worry. Well, if anyone should worry it's not about us. On Thursday night our President and Supreme Commander personally pushed the red missile launch button. Everything arrived exactly at the specified address.
All the parts of the Russian Nuclear Triad participated in the strategic exercises: nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines, long-range strategic bombers and ground launch sites of Topol mobile intercontinental ballistic missile units.
I remember, that during the recent session of the Valdai Discussion Club, Putin confidently answered the question about the NATO build-up at Russia's western borders, and the constant military exercises of the allies. Does it pose a strategic threat to us?
Vladimir Putin: "We are analyzing the situation and closely following it. We are informed of their every step, and we understand what it's all about. You know, you've just given me a good chance to say we'll do this and that and this is how we'll respond. But we are not troubled, actually. Let them exercise if they want. Everything is under control".
The President is confident, and here's why. Pavel Zarubin reporting.
The Russian Nuclear Triad has successfully fulfilled the exercise on land, on water, and in the air. For the first time, it was announced that Commander Putin had personally launched the missiles. Understandably, we did not have a chance to see that.
Dmitry Peskov, President's Press Secretary: "He acted according to regulations for the Supreme Commander in such situations".
The geographic breadth of the exercise is quite impressive. A Topol missile was launched from Plesetsk Cosmodrome and then hit the target on the other side of the country, in Kamchatka. Almost at the same moment, from three airfields long-range bombers took off: Tu-160, Tu-95MS, and Tu-22M3. They launched cruise missiles against testing grounds in Kamchatka, Komi Republic, and Kazakhstan.
A nuclear submarine launched two ballistic missiles from the Okhotsk Sea against a test range in Arkhangelsk Oblast. And a submarine of the Northern Fleet launched a missile from the Barents Sea against Kura test range, in Kamchatka.
In their reports about the exercises, western TV-channels, and newspapers pictured Russia in dark colors, pointing out that the country had been militarized under Putin. James Clapper, Former US Director of National Intelligence:
"Russia is an existential threat to us, in terms of intensive modernization of strategic forces — and there is only one enemy on their mind — and in terms of what they do to undermine our system".
It's understandable, that this video filmed in the 90s is much more pleasant for the USA. Top-secret Votkinsk Machine Building Plant, the Udmurt Republic. It produced nuclear missiles. American inspectors are right at home. American flags are everywhere, and even the clock is set to Washington, DC time. American inspectors are monitoring the missile production in Udmurtia around the clock. Active sports exercises and exquisite food help the Americans stay in good form. They really did skiing right on the territory of a top-secret nuclear missile plant.
Vladimir Putin: "We thought that if we had opened all our secrets, and there was nothing left to hide, our American partners would do the same. At least, they could have taken our concerns into account, so we could become equal partners. As you can see, nothing even remotely close happened. And quite the contrary, really. Aha, a weak partner is not worth taking into consideration. There's no conversation. Its interests are not taken into account".
Now, as the Russian Army has become stronger, and when it's holding a military exercise within its borders, every time there's hysteria about the Russian threat. In reality, new NATO military units get closer and closer to Russia. The political and military situation at the western borders of our country, — said Russian Minister of Defense, — remains tense, and tends to deterioration.
Sergey Shoigu: "In Poland and the Baltic states, 4 international battalion task groups have been deployed, with an overall strength of up to 5000 military personnel. In Poland and Germany, an armored brigade is stationed, as well as an aviation brigade of the United States Army".
In this situation, it’s clear why Russia continues to modernize its army.
In the Kremlin, at the rally of the newly promoted senior officers, the President pointed out, that the military campaign in Syria, whose territory is 90% free from terrorists, has demonstrated just how much the Russian Army's military capabilities have increased.
Vladimir Putin: "This potential needs to be further strengthened. We need to implement new perspective warfare and to increase the effectiveness of combat training. This year we have already conducted more than 2,500 exercises, including Zapad 2017, a large-scale strategic exercise".
Russians have proved that they are able to simultaneously mobilize along their entire borders with the NATO states, all types of troops: the navy, the air force, and the army. While some problems with coordination were still registered in 2013. As this week's exercise has shown, Russian nuclear triad is also well prepared.
