The 47-year-old fighter is world-renowned not only for his multiple wins in MMA fights but for his love to Russia and its Soviet past. More than once, he started his fights to the Soviet Anthem. 2 years ago, he became an honorary citizen of Abkhazia and then he obtained a passport of Luhansk People's Republic.

 

Monson, named "The Snowman", held 85 fights in his career with 60 wins. And he's also a Brazilian jiu-jitsu World Champion.
