Hero of Ukraine Loses Her Congressional Immunity Over SniperGate, Taken to Interrogation Center

The Deputies of Verkhovna Rada have publicly, emotionally, and dogmatically stated today that Nadezhda Savchenko is no longer considered a hero. After losing her congressional immunity, she walked to an SSU detention center. She is to be interrogated for hours there. They're preparing an arrest warrant. In the Parliament hall, they've been playing the footage where Savchenko calls herself Jeanne d'Arc and talks about how to complete a coup and remove everyone who has entered office after Maidan.
Our correspondent Pavel Zarubin will continue.
You're being charged with several crimes. I'm placing you under arrest. "Ukraine's hope," "our Nadya, our hero," that's what she was called just 1.5 years ago. "Terrorist", "clown", "5th column", "anti-Ukrainian Kremlin agent", that's what Ukraine's government calls someone they used to call a hero.
Nadezhda Savchenko: You all want to know whether I had grenades. I had pomegranates.
Yuri Lutsenko, Ukraine's General Attorney: Don't scare me with impending death. I already saw it during the famine. I lost 23 kg. And you came here brainwashed with Russian propaganda about Maidan's weapons and money.
- I was at Maidan, and I saw your crimes.
- Don't interrupt me.Chew pomegranates!
At the Parliament Assembly, the General Attorney said what "terrorist" Savchenko was going to do. She came close to the tribune and looked Lutsenko in the eyes.
"You wanted to shell the Verkhovna Rada with 120 mm mortar shells. The capital's center and the sponsors were going to be covered in blood".
Parliament TV shows a large chandelier that was supposed to fall onto the deputies after the explosion, according to Savchenko's alleged plan. For proof, everyone is offered to watch some special footage, but they can't start it 2 times in a row. It keeps malfunctioning.
"Turn on the footage".
When the video is turned on, the deputies see a woman who looks like Savchenko. She's allegedly talking to the DPR authorities, planning to destroy the government headquarters in Kiev, along with Poroshenko and Avakov. Savchenko herself greets the video by yelling out her famous catchphrase, "Kaboom!" Everyone in the audience has already seen this footage.
Nadezhda Savchenko: "Kaboom!
What's a matter?
What? Shit your pants?"
Savchenko begins her last speech at the Rada with the same words.
"Right now you're shaming a Hero of Ukraine. This title is earned by blood. In 4 years, you didn't do anything to prevent this war from coming to the Parliament".
Vadim Karasev, political expert: "She blew up our politics, our swamp. We should thank her for it. She blew it up, figuratively, not literally. Sue her for it, which is what the politicians are doing".
Savchenko says that everything she's being accused of was done by the Maidan authorities during the coup. Nobody defends the Hero of Ukraine on the tribune. They demand to have her committed. As a result, she loses her congressional immunity and faces arrest.
277. The decision is made. Less than 2 years ago, the Ukrainian government did everything to have the world talk about Savchenko. Posters, protests, stakes, angry meetings in the Parliament, Poroshenko personally stood there with a "Free Savchenko" sign. This picture is still posted on the Ukrainian President's website. The US VP Biden spoke from the Rada tribune with a portrait of the new Ukrainian national symbol.
Today, Poroshenko has commended the special services for "the exposure of the Russian special operation." None of the western politicians have been seen with "Free Savchenko" signs yet.
