The command "Set fire and go" was given to mercenaries who stood behind the tragic events in the House of Trade Unions in Odessa. Israeli journalist Anna Stefan presented these shocking details in her investigation. She found out that a group of Ukrainian nationalists who burned dozens of unarmed people was formed by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Parubiy. And Poroshenko personally financed the mercenaries.

Sergei Pashkov met with the author of the film.

The film "The Square of Broken Hopes" of the Israeli channel ILand is created for the fourth anniversary of the mourning date. The House of Trade Unions is on fire. Fire trucks and ambulances can't reach the site of the tragedy because entrances to the square were blocked. About 50 people died from fire and burns, seven of them were women. The author, an Israeli journalist, says that she was contacted by mercenaries, former military from Georgia, who decided to publicize their version of the events as they feared for their own lives.

Anna Stefan, author of the film: "Witnesses are being gradually removed. It's a way to protect their lives for them. They wanted to tell this story. Nobody wanted to publish this story, but I was able to because I have an Israeli passport".

This person is a character in Stefan's film. His name is Caesar Badzhalidze. He claims that he acted in Odessa along with other mercenaries carrying out orders of Andriy Parubiy. At that time Parubiy was the Secretary of the National Security Council, today he is the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Caesar Badzhalidze: "In Odessa he commanded. He gave a clear command — to come, go out, destroy everything, set fire and go".

Some mercenaries, according to Badzhalidze, acted near the Trade Union House, others blocked access roads.

Caesar Badzhalidze: The fire engine was ordered to block the road and not let anybody in.

- Who gave this order?

- Parubiy.

The director and scriptwriter of "The Square of Broken Hopes" tells that she was shocked by the names of those whom mercenaries considered to be their employers.

Anna Stefan: "This character told me that he was owed money by Saakashvili and "Porokh". They shared their money with Saakashvili. Poroshenko seemed to have to pay these mercenaries".

Familiar names were heard, according to him, at the moment when he decided to disappear and asked to be paid.

Caesar Badzhalidze: "I met him late in the evening. I told him that I want to take the money and leave. He told me that "Porokh" should give the money to Saakashvili and Saakashvili will pay us. But I'm not a fool, in time I realized who that "Porokh" is. It was about Poroshenko".

Anna Stefan is surprised by the powerful reaction of the audience to her work, but she hopes for a serious official response from Kiev.

Anna Stefan: "I'm actually waiting for someone from Ukraine to talk to me. Nobody talks to me at all. I have a feeling that everyone understands everything, but nothing has changed".

For Stefan, this documentary is a first full-scale investigation project. Anna says that she, as a journalist, had to finish the work having received such shocking information.
