Grozny Celebrates 199th Сity Founding Anniversary
A grand firework show commenced the celebration of Grozny City Day. The Chechen Capital celebrated 199 years. City residents enjoyed a lavish celebration: a motor rally, opening of a new flower park, a concert with Russian popstars. Moreover, for one day, Grozny became the capital of wedding celebrations. Keeping with the tradition, Grozny celebrates its City Day on a large scale. The organizers prepared a massive entertainment program for the participants. There's a large motor rally, a festive concert, and a spectacular motorbike show.
In the morning, the numerous guests paid respects to the first President of the republic. They brought flowers to memorial stone of Akhmad Abdulkhamidovich Kadyrov located in the Walk of Glory. Then began the grand ceremony on the city's central square near a monument that symbolizes Grozny's honorable title of a City of Military Glory.
Muslim Huchiev, Mayor of Grozny: "I congratulate veterans of war, labor, and all who risked their lives to bring us peace. And all the local residents with Grozny City Day".
City Day is celebrated not only in Grozny. Recently festivities took place in the town of Oyskhara. It was visited by Ramzan Kadyrov along with high-ranking guests.
Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of Chechen Republic: "Today is a big holiday for Oyskhara and the Republic. Large-scale construction works are completed. I very closely followed the course of works in Oyskhara. We built several dozen very important venues. But the biggest celebration is amongst our new residents".
It took developers only 3 months to build a town here from the ground up. A sports complex, a hospital, administrative buildings, a concert hall, and a residential area. The guests don't hide their amazement.
Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of Tatarstan Republic: "Today we're in a lovely town that'll soon be a city. It already looks like a city. Participate in sports, participate in various public processes all the conditions are provided here".
This has never before happened in Chechnya 199 couples at once, same Grozny's new age, decided to marry on the birthday of the Chechen Capital.
Thousands of guests of the vast celebration were received by this new flower park near the skyscrapers of Grozny City. One of the most beautiful places in the Capital today became a site for a true public festival.
