A Christmas tree in the net is like a flower bud. Christmas trees are everywhere on Tverskaya street. Just like in a real forest. Siberian fir, Nordmann fir, pine, and spruce set the festive mood in 200 points of Moscow.
- Which one smells the most?
- That thin fir does. It smells the most.
Christmas trees from Perm cost 800-900 rubles for 1 meter. Nordmann fir costs 3000 rubles. Natalia Nikolaevna almost got lost in all these green tree limbs and needles. She has to make an important choice. The main New Year's attribute must appeal to the eye for a long time.
Natalia Nikolaevna:
- I need tight limbs, not like these.
- Do you mean that they must not break?
- No, these limbs are tight. Can you see it?
- Yeah, these are tight.
This year, Lyudmila created a real winter fairy-tale for the children in her apartment. A real spruce branched out in the living room. Christmas tree in a pot for rent. Every day she takes care of it and the "wishing tree", as they call it in the house, grows every day and sends up new tillers. An expensive taste. But at the family meeting, they decided not to cut corners on fireside comfort.
Lyudmila: "This spruce will live with me for only 3 weeks. I rented it. I ordered it online. Then it was delivered. After the holidays it will be taken back. The company promised to plant it near an orphanage in Spring".
Lyudmila Merkulova has an artificial Christmas tree in her apartment. The children feel bad for trees that have been cut down. Without any fuss, they dressed this New Year Tree.
Lyudmila Merkulova: You can put an artificial Christmas tree up earlier and remove it later.
Designers are sure: it doesn't matter what kind of tree you have. The most important thing is to decorate it with love.
Retro is trendy this year. Residents of Moscow are overwhelmed with nostalgia on New Year's Eve. That's why the most popular trees of this season are: Soviet New Year Trees, snow-covered trees like in fairy-tales, and the major trend: the Tsar's tree. Just like the prices, to be honest.
Anna Pitch, designer: "The tree costs about 30,000 rubles. But the decorations change it so much that it looks incredibly rich like a real Tsar's tree. A fully decorated tree will cost about 150,000 rubles".
Eccentric persons orders trees like this one. It is restricted to reveal the customers' names and prices. But the holiday joy equalizes everyone. This is a time to dream and to make plans.
A kingdom of a miraculous snowy forest where the characters from good old fairy-tales live. The Nutcracker, the Puss in Boots, the Little Red Riding Hood are trendy this year, as always. If the winter fairy-tale exists, it will certainly come true. And they will help to believe in it.
