Vladimir Putin thanked the special forces of the CIS for their cooperation with Russia on fighting terrorism. On a meeting with the heads of the security agencies of the Commonwealth countries, the president of Russia said that it's important to keep track of the defeated insurgents after they leave Iraq and Syria. Earlier, Vladimir Putin has voiced concerns that the terrorists who are fleeing the Middle East might pose a threat to the Commonwealth States. And just now we received the following statement.

President Putin: "You are facing very difficult tasks which include fighting terrorism, fighting the forces that are trying to hinder the development of our countries.

And on the subject of terrorism, I don't really need to tell you anything. You know it all. You are the ones giving us important information on the issue. It's extremely important to us to keep tabs on what's going on in the world in this area. The situation has drastically deteriorated, and we want to know where the terrorists are going to flee in the wake of the efficient actions which, as you know, were taken by the Russian armed forces in Syria. We understand where all this scum is flowing to and we understand the threat to our states and nations created by this flow.

There are other challenges that we are well aware of. In order to be efficient in fighting terrorists, we need a joint effort of the entire international community. More than once, we suggested to create a registry of the most dangerous criminals, but, sadly, we still haven't received a comprehensive answer. Still, it's not bad for the cooperation that we have. I'm hoping that this work will continue further".
